Posted By: <b>Dan Bretta</b><p>Just picked up this 1908 Seward Nebraska postcard...just pre-Nebraska State League days (many of these players had long careers in the NSL). I have studied him about 10 times now, and 7 of the 10 times, he appears to be African-American. If I look any closer, I will get a migrane. But I would guess "yes".

Posted By: <b>bobw</b><p>Did a quick search of the name "Browning" with "Seward" on the newspaper archive and found his name only once. He listed in a boxscore as a catcher. Saw lots of references to the other names in the articles.<br /><br />Could he be an Indian?
