How do you post pictures???

Can someone please explain how to post a picture??

I seem to be able to post as an attachment and then get the little thumbnail, but how do you post a larger picture? Do you need a website to do that? I used to use photobucket which worked out great.

thanks,
Greg

Question:

How do you post the image WITHOUT the word "Attached Image" above the image ????

Thanks.

Alan,

If you paste the html code in the text field, the image will display by itself (example below). I'm e-mailing you a sample string of html as an example in case you're not familiar.

Thanks Rob. But, what if it's just a jpg or gif image on my hard drive ?

You'll need to upload it somewhere in order to be able to create the proper html link that will accomplish what you want. You can't do it if the image resides only on your computer. But if you uploaded it to, say, photobucket or some other hosting site, then you'll be able to do it.

Something else you can do, and I'll try not to make this confusing, is:

1. Upload the image to Net54, just like you were posting an image (that shows the "Attached image" tag)

2. Post the image.

3. View your post, then right-click over the image and click on "properties" to get the html code (like I e-mailed you).

4. Copy that code.

5. Edit your post to remove the original image, then post the html code that you copied. That will display the image without the "Attached image" tag.

I did this below with an image from a thread on the main board. Hope it's not too confusing.
