OT Question About Scanning Cards

Posted By: Jeff Kennedy
I have been wondering this for awhile and was wondering if someone can help me. When scanning a card, how are you able to take a front scan and a back scan and make them into one JPEG???

OT Question About Scanning Cards

Posted By: Paul S
Jeff -- You have to have an image editor program that has that capability, such as, but not limited to, Photoshop. In Photoshop I:
1.) Scan the front of the card on a larger canvas, i.e., don't crop to size in the scanner softer.
2.) Scan the back of the card (crop this one to size in scanner software).
3.) With both front and back image scans now open in your image editing software, drag and drop the 2nd image scan into an empty part of the 1st, larger scan.

Some editors also allow you to cut jpgs from one source and paste it in another.

OT Question About Scanning Cards

Posted By: RC
In all seriousness, I asked my teenage daughter to show me!!!

The directions she gave me are a little longer than what has already been provided so I won't list them to further confuse you. I keep the directions beside the computer and use them as a crutch. Once I am on a roll scanning I can usually remember what I'm doing.

Good Luck!!
RC
