Ty Cobb radio interview

I don't think I had ever heard Cobb's voice before listening to this interview from 1930. He's obviously reading it all from a script, but he gives his opinion of the players of his day, including Joe Jackson and Napoleon Lajoie (which he pronounces LAH-zho-way).

Thanks for sharing. It's very cool to hear the voice of Cobb & the legendary Grantland Rice!

Edit to add: Another cool link showing old film footage of Cobb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGGKc2ZtYLE

Incredible, thank you.

Loved how he told the truth and said that baseball to him was "no play" but "all work". Fascinating. He actually sounds like an average joe!
