Here We Go Again

I know it doesn`t seem it in many parts of the country but the "summer driving season" is just around the corner, give us your general area and guesstamasion of gas prices Memorial day Weekend.
I`ll start . 30 miles northwest of Boston 3.78 per gallon Reg.

Dallas

Gasoline is usually a little cheaper in Texas, maybe to do with the Gulf of Mexico imports. I think we will see $3.75-$4.00 for reg unleaded by the end of the year...but I hope not. Short term we might see $3.50, and currently it's in the $3.05 area....

Well if it's gonna be 3.78 in Boston area then about 4.33 here in CT. I don't understand why gas is always over 50 cents higher here than Boston, whenever we go there I always fill up. Wouldn't be surprised to see 5.00 the way it keeps creepin up.

It's certainly going past $4.00 a gallon. My wife pays $2.99 in New Jersey, but I filled up in Brooklyn recently and it was like $3.87. That's robbery, but they can get away with it.

$1.29 per litre in Vancouver :D

I am paying just under $3 in New Jersey where our gas tax is about .30 less than NY. Paid 3.37 in Cooperstown last weekend. Guessing we will be up about 60 cents by summer.

3.09 for a gallon in New Mexico this morning, and that was on the Reservation where the tax requirements are lower which creates lower prices. If it gets to 4.00, I'll sell my Corolla on the spec market.

3.19 here in Maine. I'll have to save up for the Boston show trip on April, 2.

And to think..........

And to think that we are sitting on more oil than anywhere in the world. A friend from work sent me this information :

8x as much oil as Saudi Arabia
18x as much oil as Iraq
21x as much oil as Kuwait
22x as much oil as Iran
500x as much oil as Yemen

And it's all right here in the Western U.S.

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East- more than 2 trillion barrels untapped.

That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports the Denver Post.
