Piedmont pack value

Hello,
Browsing eBay and coming across this listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/30487066512...mis&media=COPY
sparked some questions that I’m hoping some folks here can answer. This pack has some obvious issues (condition, looks to be wrong era, no tax stamp) but it seems that despite being the most common T206 back, Sweet cap packs seem to pop up for sale more often. Maybe this is just my experience but is there any reason for that? Also, what is the difference in value between an empty Piedmont pack that is the proper era (09 or 10 tax stamp) vs a similar era and design but no chance of ever having held a card?

Thanks!

I'll start with the factory number being wrong. Not a period pack. Hard to value, because some will pay whatever to get it. Doesn't mean it's worth that much. Sorry.

Thanks for your reply! Certainly not planning on buying this particular pack, but seeing it listed at that price sparked some questions. Hopefully nobody falls for the misleading title and description of this one.

I'm puzzled why factory 25 would be the wrong factory for Piedmont...

Factory 25 and the 29th district. See correct codes at Jon Canfield's site:

Hard to tell from the screen of my phone; however, does the side of the pack read, “2d District” and not 29?

Here’s an image from the back of a T206:

This is not my pack, but it is the correct factory number - it's Factory 25, 2d. State of Va.

We also can't say what year the pack dates from with certainty. However, it is 1911 or later.

The OP said is was 29th district. However, it's still a pack later than 1911. More like the 30's.
