Around 1970 B.B. King was scheduled to make an appearance at a record store in Boston's Kenmore Square. My friend and I went over there hoping to at least see him. Sure enough he walked in the store and right up to us. We had a chance to shake his hand and say hello. That was a thrill. He was a guitar virtuoso and will surely be missed.

I saw him in 1969 along with the Airplane and the Who at Tanglewood. Nearly 50 years later I may forget who I am at times - but the sounds of that night are still with me.

BB King was not the fastest playing guitarist, but every note he played counted and had a purpose.

Almost anyone can play fast, but very few can play slow.

Rest in peace Blues Boy King.

A national treasure. Had the privilege of watching him play several times, first time in 1970 or so, then in recent years taking my kids to see him.

RIP

I had the pleasure of seeing him perform on multiple occasions and each one was a treat. Still toured quite a bit until recently. Amazing musician

One of the greats. Saw him in DC maybe 20 years ago. He will be missed.

Saw him in Dayton a few years ago along with Joe Bonamassa, great experience. He talked more than he played but it was a fantastic evening.
