What if thrown out on 3000th hit?
 

I saw that Beltre got a double for his 3000th hit. A then there was a nice celebration for him.

That made me wonder, what if he was thrown out getting to 2nd base and it was the third out. Yes, i know its a hit. The celebration would be funny because he would be walking off the field and then they would have a big party in the dugout instead of the wierd 'intergame' celebration when the guy still is on base. Would be all smiles and laughs right after getting thrown out at 2nd...

George Brett got picked off first after he got his 3000th hit. That was pretty embarrassing.

Biggio was thrown on his 3,000th.

But he got an RBI on the play....


The Brett one was funny...he was all smiles just like how i would of imagined it . However he already i assume had the celebration...then got picked off.

I wonder if anyone got his 3000th and then stole second, now that would be impressive.

Not if it happened in The National League. ;)

speaking of, Almost NL no hitter yet again tonight.. Gio Gonazalez, just needed 3 more outs to get that 9/10th of a no hitter cause in the NL....
