Asking what I should offer.

ATP 08-22-2013 07:27 PM

They are definitely real.

shelly 08-22-2013 07:33 PM

Yes real but what would you pay for them?

joed25 08-22-2013 07:55 PM

Wow!

ATP 08-22-2013 08:17 PM

If I were buying to resell, maybe $25 per signature.

Why would he sell for that? He can use eBay, too.

chaddurbin 08-22-2013 09:05 PM

those would make some nice custom cards

Really, twenty five per sig. You then resell them for fity and double your money. I would offer him fifty per right now. I think if he paid to get them certed for around thrity per they would sell for around @135 to $150. Just went on ebay to look at sold Mantle cuts. Slab sold for $150. Please advice where can buy an authentic Mantle cut for $25?

ATP 08-22-2013 09:36 PM

You are right $25 was too low.

daves_resale_shop 08-22-2013 09:57 PM

Mantle cuts

as a collector of cuts, gpc's and 3x5's (assuming they are good) the first thing I look for is Mattability... Second thing that I look at is size... for example a Mantle that is .5 inches by 3 inches is not going to display well in an 11x14 frame...

All that said... I agree with a lot of the above comments.
1-these look prime exemplars for custom cards...I gotta believe you would easily find a buyer in one of the big card manufacterers

2-Certed mantles on the low go for 120-140 (cuts and 3x5's rarely come up)

3-The jsa & psa's typically charge $75 on mantle but I am sure would come in at $30 a unit on a lot like this...

Thas said... If I am a seller with this amount of outlay ($2160 for authentication with a 30 day float on my money), I'd be looking to pay in the 50-60 per unit range...

Is it a linen type fabric they are signed on?

shelly 08-22-2013 10:17 PM

I noticed one thing that no has mentioned. Some of the signitures are cut off. They should cost a lot less and will not sell for very much.

ATP 08-22-2013 10:23 PM

I don't think they are actually cut off. I think it's just the cropping of the photo, as the item (whatever it is exactly, looks to be a lined card or linen type of paper) is a little angled in the photo.

shelly 08-23-2013 12:29 AM

I am sure before anyone would make sure before I bought them.I really think that the bottom line should be max of sixty to seventy dollars.

Mr. Zipper 08-23-2013 06:29 AM

Is this an unused, uncut sheet that were intended for the Salvino figurines?

shelly 08-23-2013 11:00 AM

That is what I thought but Salvino's where mostly done in white. I also understand the authenticity comes from Greer. I still think that if you pay more than seventy dollars you would be makeing a mistake. It is going to cost you 30 more if you cut a deal with the tpa/s. This is cut and dry so they really should not charge anymore than that.

chaddurbin 08-23-2013 11:57 AM

these cuts or custom cards would not cost that much to authenticate with psa/dna. probably around $15 max. ted williams is on the same tier pricewise and i got a pc of his authenticating for $11.

ATP 08-23-2013 11:59 AM

Wow, really? When I looked at their pricing tier they had Mantle at $100 fee.

travrosty 08-23-2013 12:33 PM

why need to get them authenticated when you know they are already real? this does not make sense to me!.

I'd agree with you Travis if they were staying in his PC, but I have a feeling they will be split up and sold separately.

It just might make cents for someone else......

travrosty 08-23-2013 05:36 PM

the only person making moola on it is the auth company. you dont need to have them authenticated if you know they are real already.

shelly 08-23-2013 05:58 PM

Travis, I can only ask this of you once. Please for one week give it a break.Or just go on line and say etc.

travrosty 08-24-2013 09:03 AM

i like to give my opinion, like you do yours, thanks for trying to tell others what to do though.

shelly 08-24-2013 10:06 AM

Not telling you. Just asking. If it where a different subject I would have no problem.:D

The market is what the market is and SOME in the collecting public think that a COA from a company that has great marketing expertise is worth paying extra for.

That's right, and all it takes is for SOME to think this in order to raise the selling price.

In other words, TPA certs raise selling prices, no matter how much Travis dislikes the fact.
