Thoughts on the current state of the Market?

Is it me or do others believe the market is being flooded with Post War Cards in the 6-8 range. Will prices come back to 2014 levels? Or lower ? It’s gonna be interesting to watch.

I've been picking up complete sets back to 1960...I think done pretty well. I think I'll finish up a presentable 1960 Topps complete set for less than $1000 all in. I don't think that's the kind of thing you could have done a few years back.

This is not to say I am getting them so cheaply I could turn them for a profit, but I think I could come close to breaking even, which isn't bad for something that's really a hobby. I couldn't do that playing golf.

I'm with you, Todd - my game is in the crapper these days, but in the past couple of years, I've managed to complete the last two Bowman sets for a complete run, and for less than a couple grand each. Not sure if they would grade at six to eight, as I only collect ungraded, but they are certainly presentable. I think maybe the OP has a valid point about the current market value of some postwar sets.

I think more and more people are getting their mid grade cards graded in hopes of cashing in. Supply is increasing and demand seems to not keep up.

Except for hi grade investment cards which are sky high. With the stock market at all time highs, I suspect those are going to keep climbing.
