Love of the Game Ringside Auction is Open!

Finally. Good luck to All.

Thanks Adam!

Just thought I'd come here and introduce myself to anyone who might not know me from over on the baseball side. I'm Al, and I'm the owner of Love of the Game.

I'm really excited to have worked with Adam on this great experiment, and I think we've put together a quality boxing auction for our first shot out of the gate. We've got a host of tough, higher-grade sets, a lot of rarities (an E125 Jack Johnson PSA AUTH and a T220 Silver Corbett are the headliners), some great memorabilia.

It's our hope that this is successful enough that we can continue to do a boxing-exclusive auction each year, so that the great boxing memorabilia and cards don't get stuck in the back of the catalog anymore!

Probably my favorite lot in the auction is a letter handwritten by Arthur Donovan, the former referee, relating the story of his father's training of Jim Corbett for the Sullivan fight. Not the prettiest piece in the auction, but awfully interesting.

At any rate, I invite you all to check out the auction. If you're not a registered bidder, registration is easy. The auction closes the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Catalogs mailed today, so if you don't receive one because you're not an active LOTG bidder, please send me a PM and I'll get you one of the extras.

And you can visit the auction here: http://loveofthegameauctions.com/cat...x?auctionid=21

Good luck!
-Al

Very nice to see some Jewish boxers included http://i6.ifrm.com/2422/189/emo/beerchug.gif

There's stuff from Leonard, Ross, Goldstein, Baer, Mendoza and Attell. And that's off the top of my head.

LOTG boxing

I'm not a boxing guy - an odd piece here and there - but I think an
annual auction is a potentially great idea...some nice items in the
auction.

best of luck, Adam and LOTG.

Shameless plug - there are many 1960's - 1970's Panini cards of Ali and others that don't have a bid yet, at about 25% or less of their market prices in most cases. Don't miss them!
