Now you need to buy a beer to go with all those Slim Jims - nice group!

Thanks! I neglected to mention that the one I need is light green pizza flavor. If anybody has a lead on a complete box or complete, un creased panel, please let me know.

I had to be patient on this one, but it's up there among my favorite linemen cards in my collection.

I landed my first ever Topps Vault piece in any of my player collections: the match print photo for Hannah's 78 Topps card. Cool to own a one of a kind item for your player collection.

Very cool! How many Hannah items do you have left to collect?

DBesse27 02-26-2017 07:04 PM

Thanks! There's no telling when topps vault items will become available, but I currently need 11 playing era cards, plus I want a 1978 slim jim pizza flavor variation complete box or panel. My playing era list has 60 items and I have 48 of them in the condition I want.

The 78 Hannah was one of the 3 basic Topps issues I still needed to complete his basic run. But I just added this:

I fixed some of my previous photo bucket links, but if anybody is curious about some of my earliest Hannah posts, you can check out my PSA master set here:

This is one of my favorites from my collection. Picked it up at a local card shop. I would like to send it to SGC at some point. It's in fantastic shape. Obviously the centering leaves something to be desired but if it was centered, it wouldn't have still been sitting on that shelf!

.......Jim McMillen from the '20's and '30's. This is my first post on this side of the Forum and this thread offered up some great items that will insure my return to see more "Stuff". I am a 70 yr old life long Bears fan and loved the Cardinals and have very deep seated contempt for the Bidwell Family for pulling out of the south side. The stock yards did NOT smell that bad!

My dad played for the Cardinals in the last part of the 1927 season - Chamberlin purchased him from the Frankford Yellow Jackets in part because of his kicking skills - and on the line this guy protected him

Welcome, Dennis! That is a fantastic photo. The Bidwell's are nomads that travel from state to state looking for cash. Not a fan at all, either!

Here's a signed photo I think you will like:

Great Duke Slater photo Mike. While clearly worthy I doubt he will ever make it into the NFL HOF.

Very true and a travesty of justice. Slater belongs in the HOF!

Read a great book on him last year that I recommend:

...for the compliment. Let me offer you one on the Staley's photo. If that is in your personal collection...you are very fortunate indeed. I'm sure you treasure it!!

I won these color separation proofs from the Topps Vault for the 1980 Topps John Hannah card. My 2nd Vault Hannah purchase. I wish they had come with the yellow proof, but still, I love them.

For those who can't picture it, here is Hannah's 1980 Topps:

More Topps Vault Hannah fun. My first hobby pickup of 2018 is the film positive for his 79 Topps card. I now have Vault items for his 1978, 79 and 80 cards.

Those are very cool Topps Vault items, Dan! We should do a thread on original art, card proofs, negatives, etc. It's an interesting topic and I'm sure there'd be some great eye candy in it.

Just got this one today. I've only got a few more to go to complete my HOF rookie cards from the 1950s.
