A new guy...

Hi Net54, I just joined these forums after being recommended to do so by an Ebay prospective buyer. I must say, these forums are huge!! A lot of content.

Can someone give me a quick summary of how these forums work? Are there buying/selling transactions being conducted here (outside of Ebay)??

I'm not really a part or any other forums so pardon my ignorance in not knowing the function of things.

Hi there
Yes, there is a section of the forum for buying, selling and trading literally everything. Mainly guys and girls B/S/T sports cards and memorabilia there. Only those members logged in can see that area.
There aren't a lot of rules on the forum as everyone is expected to behave, somewhat.
And if you give an opinion of someone or a company then your full name needs to be next to your post. Otherwise a user id is fine. That is a little different than most forums.
There are a ton of knowledgeable folks on the board who help others all of the time. It is what you make of it. Welcome and enjoy the party

Leon, thanks for the info! Can you explain to me how the buying/selling transactions work here? I'm only familiar with Ebay, to a degree, have been selling there for a month or so, and buying for a lot longer.

You list something for a price you want and if someone buys it they pay for it and you send it to them.

Touche... lol. Let me be more specific: how does the buyer transfer money to the seller? Which monetary tools are used to carry out the transaction? Pardon my ignorance, I'm truly trying to understand the details of how to carry out buying/selling here.

You, the seller, can determine the method of payment(s) you will accept - PayPal, check, money order, cash, whatever. Although, with you being new, most buyers are going to prefer paying with PayPal since it offers them buyer protection. It gets the money to you right away as well. Welcome to the boards and good luck with your sales.
