Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>Antique staples are dark brown with rust, and have often stained the surrounding area. It would be hard to fake antique staples. Though, obviously, it's possible for a real one to have the stick restapled on. Also, as noted, the real ones don't have that odd notch on the bottom for the stick, the stick is completely on the back.
