Where's the defect??? Aaron rookie.

This seller is notorious for doctoring scans and not mentioning major defects that are not visible. So where is the defect on the seemingly gorgeous aaron rookie? I can't see it? BEWARE...bid at your own risk!!!!

Pete,

Assuming the card is in the condition shown, wouldn't the seller be leaving A LOT of money on the table by not having the card graded?

1952boyntoncollector 07-06-2016 05:53 PM

the defect is who the seller is....

nothing to see here....if want a Authentic or a 1 then big accordingly

if you hold it in hand you will know....easy to have a scan that masks flaws

im sure...i've been there with this seller!

Stonepony 07-06-2016 06:49 PM

It's just digital counterfeiting. What you're seeing is not real.

botn 07-06-2016 06:54 PM

The guy is bad news. His scan is far too small to be able to see the defect assuming he has not done something in photoshop to hide the flaw(s).

HRBAKER 07-06-2016 06:55 PM

Not a glaring defect but it does not have Perfect Centering as the listing implies. It has a rather obvious tilt cut IMO.

KCRfan1 07-06-2016 07:22 PM

18 negative reviews - all saying the same thing: the card received was not the card described, with "photoshop" in most complaints. Add in 3 neutrals and that's 21 unfavorable reviews out of 971 transactions.

Hard to see a defect that's been photo shopped out of the image. Or the card has been altered. Either way this is not a gamble worth taking.

gregr2 07-06-2016 07:33 PM

Someone is going to be very disappointed when they receive this card.

Tripredacus 07-08-2016 02:31 PM

The back scan makes the corners look worse than the front scan.

nsaddict 07-08-2016 03:08 PM

It appears they sold this very card for over 5K back in May. If you check their completed items, the same exact cards have sold several times over. Not defending them, but every buyer needs to do a little research. Newbies think, but a cherry Aaron rookie for 5K, send it in for grading, and a nice 40K profit. If it were that easy, we'd all do it! They are still in business, and that won't change anytime soon. Buyer beware!

I still can't see how this idiot is still allowed to get by with this crap.
I guess eBay is just as crooked as this woman is.
Yes, we all know all about Carol.

PS if she went straight she could probably get a good computer job because she sure makes those crappy cards she sells look sweet.

And the answer to - Where's the defect??? is battlefield0516

Once they go (try) to get it graded it will be back to battlefield and for sale again.

7nohitter 07-15-2016 06:19 AM

It's too bad there's not a Yelp-type of review available for ebay sellers.

deeg23 07-15-2016 02:28 PM

If I knew how to make an app I would!

My question: How does battlefield make money on these cards that keep getting returned? Do some people really just eat the loss?

I believe the answer is yes, eventually a raw collector will keep the card as is or someone will buy it and forget to send it off in time.

irv 07-21-2016 05:51 PM

Another one I had in my watch list.

I'd assume the purchaser has the card now but I didn't see any negative feedback about it?
