Please know I finally got this years National photos posted, click photo or link above...about 640 including two sub-features...The Three Bills Room...and Carlton's Pick-Ups...Also posted a memorial and photos of Mike Hoevet at the end of the last page (page 9)...same one I posted here on Net54...

The feature is mostly photos with a little introduction at the beginning...Most of my written effort went into elaborating on the six pieces I picked up...basically like six little features on two pages...
Enjoy -Carlton

Carlton, great job as usual. I think I cover the floor pretty well every year but you always seem to capture some things that I miss. As much fun as we all have finding these great items the real treasure is the friendships that have developed over the years. It really hits home when we lose someone like Mike Hovet. Thanks for posting the tribute to Mike, he will be missed.

Very nice, Carlton. It's always fun to see your pickups and read the back stories.

Magnificent write-ups (as always) Carlton!

And what a wonderful tribute to Mike. Very well done...

For having a limited budget this year, those were some pretty sweet pick-ups. I love the Baseball Drum, the diminutive Batter/Catcher Trophy, and especially the incredible Hartley Football Statue. What a beautiful work of art.

Be sure to post the "after" pictures of the Drum (once the skins are restored). I'm assuming you'll go with the "Sheepskin" option... but eager to see how this project turns out.

Congrats on finding some of the best "stuff" at the show. It was slim pickins for me this year. :(

Hey Carlton,

I came across this ad in a 1908 Collier’s that goes with your hat band poster. Read the fine print and it tells you how to get the Penfield poster! I thought you would want it to keep with the piece.
