N172 cards have players who could have been active in the military

Posted By: ItsOnlyGil
during the Civil War. Obtaining military cards which show High ranking personnel is not difficult, however, cards which depict actual front line soldiers is not as easy. Does anyone know how to go about determining which n172 players served in this War?

Posted By: Steve M.
because in order to be in the civil war one would have to have been born no later than 1849 and that assumes he entered the war at the end (1865) and was 16. That would make him about 38 or 40 for the 1887 N172. Guess it is possible but if you change any of the parameters its unlikely.
