How many players from the 1949 Bowman set are still alive? Probably just a tiny handful.

Oddly enough, is the subject of my PC

Thanks, but is Gil Coan in the set? Memory says he isn't.

Coan is in the set, card #90. Memory is not what it used to be.

Don't forget Ted Z., probably the foremost expert on that great set.

Thank you! It all began when a family friend ran across his '54B card and she couldn't believe the resemblance of 'young Ed' to 'young me'. (We were dead ringers on the '50B and '54B cards for example)

Although as we both aged, we diverged -- I look nothing like Ed from say '56 onward. Although I'll wager only one of us will make it as far as 94 -- Well done Ed!

Jason, great Fitz Gerald collection. I saw him play at old Griffith Stadium back in the 1950's - I must be getting old!
