Posted By: <b>warshawlaw</b><p>sans watermark. They do look like the regular issue from 1925, and like many nonsports issues from the same era. <br /><br />A few others are depicted on my web site. Lew Lipset sold a complete set a while ago. I expect that the cards would sell for a lot more today. <br /><br />BTW, the autographed Ruth is a '28.

IF that is the case, does anyone have a proper depiction? I'm looking at as many 1925s as i can. And i will say the ruth is different in the placing of the USA tag and how ruth is listed. Granted this is not "definitive" proof. The first card pictured above (the one with the surface damage and Ruth wearing the white hat) is from a set of 32 cards called "1925 Champions Babe Ruth Exhibit" it is listed (and pictured) on page 137 in the "2006 SCD Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards" (Lemke). Set is listed in the American Card Catalog as W469. The values are in the first post I did above. Ruth is only baseball player in the set. Frank
