Babe Ruth signed ball

Hi guys, wanted to see what you thought the value of the Babe Ruth signed ball might be. Also any info on the ball maker itself would be great too as I've can't find any info on it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Posted in the autograph section as well but figured I would post here to see about the info on the ball.

Hello, is this thing on? No idea on the ball?

No Ruth expert, and although the a and e are a little atypical, it looks real to me. I would buy it myself.

Thanks Brendan. I'm pretty confident on the signature. I was looking to see if anyone had a year on the ball as I've never seen an Earl Clark ball ever. Also was wondering on value of what it might be worth.

I'm confident that it's real. A ballpark estimate: $3500-$6000

Thanks again Brendan. I had it offered to me for a price in that range so wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to overpay for it. It has a JSA cert with it too thats why I was pretty confident on the signature part. If you ever see any info on a Earl Clark ball let me know.

Trying searching past auctions for Babe Ruth signed balls. A good one to start with would be Hunt Auctions. I believe they have sold similar balls in the past.

Earl Clark was a baseball player that played in the late twenties thirties

I saw that he played with the Braves I thought. I just have found no info on the ball itself. Was it common back in the day to have "regular" players have their own ball?

I will start doing some research and see what I can find. Thanks again!

It wasn't common for regular players to have endorsed baseballs. Who is the maker of the ball?

Thanks Pete was happy to get it. Was one of those too good to be true type of deals and was expecting it was some type of scam. It arrived was happy to find out it was real. You know me, I'm more a card guy so when I dip my toe into things like these I'm prone more to screw up. lol

ullmandds 03-09-2015 04:56 PM

totally understandable! I've never aspired to own a ruth ball...as much as I'd love one. I have seen a few at auction I've considered.

But the combo of a really unusual type of ball and a great sig on yours is awesome...even with the inscription...which would usually be a turnoff for me.

Congrats!
