My grandfather gave me this ball for Xmas of 1990. My dad as a kid didn't know what it was played with it. The two signatures that took the brunt of his handy work were Stan Musial and Enos Slaughter. I still love it, but damn. Really sucks because you can Stan's signature was strong.

if you can watch the Leave it to Beaver episode Ward's baseball- that says it all

i'd rather have your dad's memory on the ball than a musial or slaughter sig here.

Agree. I am sure the ball is priceless to the original poster, no matter whose signature is on it.

Strong memories of Xmas as a kid, the connection between Xmas shifting from being about my presents to being a truly special holiday, this ball bridged that gap. My grandfather passed away ten years later, so it’s really all linked to him.

I’ve had people try to buy it over the years, the only reason I wouldn’t sell it was because I knew they were going to try and make money. If I knew it was a big Cardinals fan and knew it was to give to his son or grandson, I would sell it no problem, just rare to ever actually know that.
