T206 Cobb green portrait, why is it so much higher than other poses?
 
This is one of my absolute favorites, but I still don't understand the rarity and price disparity. If you look at all of the other Hall of Famers in the set, all of their poses are fairly close in value, both VCP and PSA SMR. The Cobb green, however, is worth 2.5 to 4x more than the others depending on how high the grade. I hope Ted Z can chime in.....

Fewer backs than the other poses but as many backs as the bat on.....not sure but it is a nice one.

Could the 150 subjects series be slightly more desirable to collectors? Cobb's red portrait is from the 350 subjects series. I know I tend to look for 150 and 460 series. Bear in mind this is just the ramblings of an infrequent T206 collector.
