The ball has 23 auto's and include: Alston (sweet spot), Amoros, Howell, Furillo, Gilliam, Roebuck, Erskine, Robinson, Kellert, Newcombe, Black, Reese, Snider, Labine, Shuba, Hodges, Meyer, Zimmer, Lasorda, Hoak, Bessent, and Podres. The ball is an official NL ball and I'd rate the overall shape a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. Unfortunately the ball is missing Koufax and Campy. I'm not sure of the value and would appreciate any help. <br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Paul<br />

Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>The reason I ask...<br /><br />It seems there are a lot of 50s Brooklyn Dodger balls that were signed by the adult bat boy.<br /><br />I have a 50s Brooklyn Dodger ball. It has been in my family for a long time.<br />The ball was actually given to my dad when he was a kid by Dusty Rhoades (NY Giants). <br /><br />Anyway - I brought the ball to Spence and it was determined that the signatures were all signed by the bat boy. An adult bat boy... and Spence actually knew the guy's name (who signed all the signatures).<br /><br />I've been told that that ball is worth $500 to certain collectors. Not sure if the bat boy has a following. <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14>

Posted By: <b>Corey R. Shanus</b><p>Some years ago some guy had on eBay a '55 Dodger ball that he claimed he won as a kid in '55 via some Dodger sponsored promotion. Based on my phone converstion I had with the guy, coupled with other backup he had from the period, I believed (and still do) his story. And guess what? When I showed images of the ball to an authentication service in advance of the auction I was told ALL the signatures were clubhouse.
