Best way to collate a set for consignment

I have complete sets I'm going to consign, but wondering if there's a best way to arrange the sets to maximize sale price.

I have multiple graded copies of most of the cards for each set. Do I build the set using the cards with the highest grades or use mid-grade copies and consign the higher graded cards to be auctioned individually?

You will almost always get WAY less money selling complete sets. From my experience you want all the cards in the set to be in the same or very similar condition. Having the big cards graded also helps.

When consigning be VERY sure you understand every detail of how/when/where it is getting sold. Also payment and percentages need to be discussed and completely understood.

EDITED to add: Your first choice should be figure out what you really realistically can get for them and try selling on here first. There are zero fees selling on here. Then dump anything left on your preferred AH.
