This is a picture from the 1920's from the Los Angeles Angels. Any idea who the players are?

Got the picture in hand today and shorter man is Marty Krug the manager. Still trying to figure out the other person

Marty Krug was the Manager of the PCL Los Angeles team from 1923 through midway of 1929, if that helps anyone out there to narrow down a search. The man on left looks vaguely familiar, but I can't seem to place him. And what is that mystery man holding in his hand? A feather?

I think it is a catchers mask but hard to tell.

My first thought was that the man on the left resembled Neal Ball, but he had no relationship with LA that I am aware of. However, he was Krug's teammate on the 1912 Red Sox.
My record on these is mixed, and not saying it is Ball, just that was my first thought.

Doing some picture comparisons and research I believe him to be Truck Hannah. A player/ manager and catcher for the Los Angeles Angels.

Not Truck

FWIW, definitely not Truck Hannah.

This photo was identified as Clyde Barfoot on the web. Definitely the deep-set eyes seem to match...where is our ear, nose and throat expert?

It looks like Clyde played for Los Angeles in 1928, 1929 and 1930. So 1928 or 1929 is a likely date for Ken's photo if it is indeed both Barfoot and Krug.

That looks like a winner.

There is no way in heck these two are the same person…

Nose is off, chin and jaw are off, eyes and brow are off, ears are way off, shape of mouth is off and those nasolabial folds (laugh lines) don't match.

Now I know what those facial crevasses are officially called.
