Iconic Auctions

Really annoy me. I see them sell items all the time that they currently do not hold and proven before that they shill bid in the past .

Here is a Jackie Robinson Yearbook that currently "have" for bid-

Or you can buy it now for $5,800 (on sale!)

Some businesses should learn how to spell e t h i c s and then take courses in it.

Even though I think Iconic sucks and most of their items never actually sell.. '

But I will say I think in this case the sports collectible site is the one stealing images and selling this they dont own.. They have a Jackie Robinson signed photo for sale for 24K but its listed on ebay for 17K by another seller

Yeah, I think Sports Collectibles is the same as www.sportsmemorabilia.com (owned by Fanatics I believe).

They're just dropshippers who take photos from eBay and up the price. Once it sells on their site, they just buy it off eBay - I have sportsmemorabilia and other dropshippers buy regularly from me.

Absolutely correct.

All of the above said, they still list items that they've sold in the past. I've seen several items listed between 2 to 4 times throughout the yrs after it sells. I find it hard to believe the new owner continues to consign the item to them.

I've also seen items listed on Ebay and listed on Iconic at the same time.

Years ago SportsMemorabilia.com was selling dozens of Derek Jeter GA-certed forgeries.

When I asked a rep from them how they acquired the autographs, they claimed they had an autograph contract with Jeter which was a lie.

Quick Follow Up

PPC had this item up on their Ebay sight before the August Iconic Auction....It was "sold" for $1,554 and now is right back up on PPC's ebay sight.

Yah all their items get plenty of bids, but never sell.

I'm guessing they place all the initial bids up to the point they like and then the next "real" bid gets it, and then they just hope to get that one additional bid.

I quit looking and bidding in there auctions. I have bid on many items over the years and have never won anything. All my bids were right there with current prices. They list the same stuff on Ebay and then put it in there auctions but I always wonder if anyone ever wins anything. It's strange how the prices go up on each lot but they never seem to sell cause then there right back on Ebay. Not worth wasting my time with playing their game.
