OT- Any Luck Recovering Funds Paypal F&F
 

Back story: So I won a few lots on eBay and had good communications with the seller. He immediately packaged my items and I could see that they were registered with USPS. We then discussed me buying more items that he had for sale (not yet on eBay) which I agreed to. He asked if I would pay by friends and family (which I normally would never do) and I agreed based on my initial transaction with him. Long story, but eventually we agreed not to continue the transaction and he still has not returned my funds. I have spoken to Paypal and my bank (the funds were taken right from my account) and they said that I can make a claim but I am not getting an answer on the chances of success. Does anyone have any experience recovering funds when you did not receive an item and have paid by friends and family?

Just tell them you paid by F&F by mistake. Sometimes the app does do that. Then they will open a claim for you. He will have to prove he shipped it PP will take the funds back.


Also pay with a credit card when possible. It can save you if stuff like this happens.
