Being a Phillies fan,I'm not impressed so far.The bullpen is gonna be shot by May.Having a position player having to pitch in the 3rd game of the season is unacceptable. I was hoping for 80+ wins this season.Not looking that way,but its early.

I liked Mackanin. He did fine with a terrible team. Why not let him stay and give him a better team?

Fingers crossed it's Matheny!

Kapler had a good day today...no game.


by the way, today was the first in-season Sunday the Braves have had off since 1933!

This Kapler cat is not who this team needs. Bring back Manuel ... who also should not have been fired.

Then I saw the title to this thread, that's the first manager I thought of.

I'm a big Phillies fan. I look forward to opening day more than I look forward to most holidays. Opening day, our star young pitcher was pulled in the 5th (while he was pitching a shutout), and our best hitter was pulled for 'defense'. We were up 5-0 and we ended up losing. It's the equivalency of Gabe Kapler ruining Christmas.

I'm really hoping he turns this all around, i'm rooting for Gabe!! But he gets my vote here...

After an 0-3 start, my vote is for Andy Green. The Pudres whiffed - AGAIN! - when they could have hired Dave Roberts. Only time will tell . . .
