1989 Topps Rack pack box question

Ok, I do not know anything about this product. But on Sat I bought a very small collection and one of the items
was a box of 1989 Topps rack packs.I know the box is full. But that is really what my question is about. Were these
boxes sealed in any way.Even a piece of tape on the side.Anything at all.Not that it will matter to me. But if
they were sealed in any way then any great cards that may have been visible are likely all gone. With someone
just exchange one pack for another. This grading thing has everyone looking for the perfect 10 no matter how
over produced product may have been, Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not to be a downer, but are there any "great" cards in 1989 Topps? I opened plenty of it, and once had a factory set that I got at the Sears outlet in Memphis for like $10, but it was so overproduced that basically every card is a common. At least you get the glossy all-star inserts. You couldn't really search the packs, aside from whatever 6 cards you could see on top and bottom. There is a Randy Johnson rookie, but that's like a 25 cent card because there are a billion of them.

You are correct. Nothing at all to get. But a PSA10 Randy Johnson rookie does alright.

These days, I think the main attraction of packs like these are for player collectors who chase packs with their player visible.

I agree with that. Although I honestly do not know. I have never had any desire to have have unopened packs. When I was busting wax everything got ripped open.:)

They were not. I just recently opened a case and they do not have tape or wrap.

Thank you very much.I can now say it is full box of rack packs
and not have to worry about people saying it has been opened.:)
