Fake PSA
I recently listed some items in LOTG auction. This item I bought on ebay. When I looked at it I figured the McCovey and Allen could have been alittle rushed in person autographs. It was a duplicate so I gave it to auction. Turns out the label is a fake as the cert number doesn't exist. Someone pried open a PSA case and put in a fake label and a fake card. Never though that would happen to me

It's sickening what the criminals, who have infected our hobby, will do to profit from their criminality.
This is why I continue to expose sellers of forgeries. Sorry to read what happened to you, Michael. |
Yeah, not a big $ item but in life the people like this continue to amaze me on with dishonesty, sleazyness etc. Most I ve met have been great folks but this minority continue to blow me away

Great catch and kudos to Al C. for pulling right away.

I'm checking the card out....normally I am good at seeing the pry marks and the seal job. I don't see it on this card. And the label looks good as well....could it be something as simple as a data entry error at PSA?? Because the label and case both look good.

It is being sent to psa to evaluate. Not sure how they will know
