Propagandas Montiel

What am I missing here that accounts for the closing price? https://m.ebay.com/itm/1946-47-Baseb....c100675.m4236

Possibly shilled up? One of the under bidders has 95% of his/her bidding activity with this one seller...just a guess don't know anything about these cards..

I doubt it is shilled

Doesn't look shilled based on activity to me looks like he just wanted it more so put in a higher bid. Percentages with a seller are overrated. I tend to. It from the same few people. I can't be the only one. After looking again maybe it is I don't know 27 bids is a lot.

seems like a pretty high price for that card to me. Would have guessed $10-15

Jason19th 03-14-2018 08:26 AM

I have bought a lot of cards from this seller and have never had a shilling problem

darwinbulldog 03-14-2018 08:48 AM

It's possible, but I doubt it was the seller. I've dealt with her several times in the past and never noticed anything untoward. She also had plenty of other less damaged cards from the set that went for normal prices (under $25) last night. I was wondering if this was a short-print I'd never heard of, or if the guy was famous for something else (like he's in various Canadian sports Halls of Fame).

2 folks willing to pay $60 bucks for this? Odd. But stranger things have happened. Maybe a tough card for set builders. Above my pay grade.

I think that one might be super tough to come by.
Neither pop report from PSA or SGC even has one.
