goudey 1933 and the size of the cards

Posted By: gerard
My question is that i have around 30 ungraded cards checking the size of the cards i notice some difference in the size of some cards, two of them is 1/16 inch up and down shorter, and one card is 1/16 longer up and down then the other 27 cards. Is there a allowance on length of the cards? I dont want to grade them until i find out.

Posted By: cmoking
I have seen many cards in PSA/SGC holders that were slightly shorter (T/B or L/R) than normal size. That doesn't mean those cards weren't played around with. Nor does it mean that your cards will grade either. All I mean to say is that the 1/16inch shortness in your cards does not automatically mean they won't grade.

Good luck!

Posted By: Frank Evanov
I believe there is normally a great variation in the size of this issue.

This one is way short T/B, but PSA graded it last week. The card came from a collector who got it 40 years ago, long before the card doctors and their exacto knives were on the scene.

Frank
