I'm sure Gilda will be glad to see him.

RIP Gene

Loved him in Blazing Saddles. Actually I guess this makes Mel Brooks the last surviving member of the main cast of that film....

FourStrikes 08-29-2016 08:01 PM

gotta love Mel...and I do!

Stonepony 08-30-2016 04:59 AM

Really saddens me.....

RIP Gene.
He made me laugh a whole lot in Blazing Saddles but I have always thought that The Producers was the classic Mel Brooks film and he was wonderful in that.

I guess just due to my age Stir Crazy was my favorite. Remember watching that numerous times in the early days of cable TV. He and Pryor were great together. The "we bad" scene as they enter the jail is classic.

Guess he's finally back with his true love Gilda.
RIP Gene

+++ for "Stir Crazy" - "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" was awesome as well - Wilder & Pryor were great together.
