Posted By: david
give the rarity of the issue, how much do incomplete or missing tabs effect the value of the cards?

Posted By: leon
Missing tabs on cards, and value placed upon those cards, is up to the individual buyer. For the ones I have seen at auction, without tab or other extremities, the value goes down dramatically. For instance I still need an E125 but haven't found a HOF'er, with tab, for a price I wanted to pay.....I won't buy one without a tab as I personally feel it is an imcomplete card....but that is ONLY my opinion and not everyone would think that....best regards

Posted By: JC
I agree with Leon (for once). I would put it at 10 to 20 percent of book price depending on the auction. When you spend that kind of money for them, hold out for the nicest one you can afford.

Posted By: warshawlaw
I'll take it off your hands for the aforementioned discounted price! Just LMK where to send the check.

Really, guys, tabs or not is academic with this issue since most of us never even have the chance to see one, much less own it. I think you've gotta throw all condition based discounting out the window with issues like this one or the Darby's and leave it to the market to price it.

Posted By: Brian Weisner

I do have a superb Topsy Hartsell with a perfectly intact tab, in fact I would say the tab is nm+. The rest of the card is also sharp except for a hairline wrinkle in one of the arms. If Topsy was all HOFER I'd sell it to Leon , but I guess I'll list him on Ebay instead. Be well all Brian

PS I Have sold 2 missing tabs for 400-500 each. One was Babe Adams, and the other I can't remember.
