Any Gehringer experts out there?

I found this on the back of a cabinet photo of Gehringer's team in Canada from 1924. At first I thought "no way that's his", but there are some similarities and the fact that it's signed "Chas." has me thinking. It doesn't quite match up to his later signature but I know a lot of guys' auto changed over the years. Anyone know of any other early examples to compare to? No wishful thinking....it would just be a cool find :)

Very interesting. Brain tells me no but my gut tells me maybe. I can see some similarities between the -hring (excluding the loop on the g) between your piece and his typical signature. Also could see a progression between the r's as the loop up would become more pronounced later. He would've been a rookie in 24 so it would make sense that it would change as he started signing more and more. Never seen another version of his autograph though so who knows.

.

Always possible the 1924 team photo was signed (by whom ever) sometime after 1924 too,
which would make comparison to my 1928 example of little value.

Thanks, guys. Not even accounting for mine, the difference between the REA auto and Vincent's are pretty striking....kind of hard to believe they're from the same hand in the same year....Mine looks more like the REA one but still not perfect. I'll have to research it some more.

I am the last person that should opine. I find many looped g. But no examples where the g and e flow together.
