"Buy the card, not the holder" in effect on this one. Not a wrinkle, crease or speck of paper loss.

Nice card Jantz!!! I may be biased but one of my favorite cards in the set. And my favorite (obtainable) back.

Good + pick up !!!!

I hate you Luke :D

Won this very cool N172 Brooklyn "Mini" variation. Might be the only one for this player:

I was watching that one. I think I see about 1 mini N172 for sale around every 3 yrs. Super rare cards. Congrats on that one.

Not quite a '52 Mantle or T206 Plank, but I picked up this check from Cobb to his mother that I thought was pretty cool.

Great signature on that. Glad they didn't hit it with any of the stamps when they cancelled it. He had such a nice signature.

So I'm looking for a crop line on the back, that's when I notice the factory designation line.

Nice card Bryan!

Thanks Dave! The problem for me is that those are Jeff's cards. But I'm willing to take care of them for him! ;)

Jobu 11-11-2015 01:48 PM

Thanks for the kind words guys, this Matty is one of my favorite cards.

Dean, it's no T213-1, but I guess I'll have to settle. :)

Ty is a touch out of focus, but the nice centering and coloring and lack of creases made me happy to add this one!

Scott,

I have since learned this was ATC's limited 3D version of the Cobb card - put the glasses on and Cobb will join you in your living room!

Jobu 11-12-2015 07:13 AM

You should start a new thread for this one: cards that look best when you are hammered. :D

Seriously though, sharp example. Thanks for having a sense of humor.

That Esterbrook is a nice looking card despite the stain. Nice dark image.

Thanks, Kevin...yeah, I guess it's not bad as OJ's go...This Gleason from the same lot is definitely an example of an OJ in poor condition...Plus, 2 players in Chicago Maroons uniforms, although not designated as maroons cards (cheaper). And Cannonball Crane...
