Ya got 'Doc' Medich and Gene 'The Stick' Michael with their backs to us, but check here for the uniform numbers of other players:

I would bet money that the player with the arrow is Celerino Sanchez. It looks like the player/coach leaning over is wearing #13 but no Yankee wore #13 between Curt Blefary in 1971 and Walt Williams in 1974.

I believe that uniform could actually be #12, Ron Blomberg, probably still basking in the glory of becoming baseball's first Designated Hitter. :D

Very cool! I only got to see Munson play once. The photo is shocking to me because in my minds eye for the last 50 years he was much bigger!

Now I'm even questioning whether Larry Bowa was even short. :D

I believe it is Blomberg also. The player between him and Sanchez with the sideburns looks to me like Mike Hegan, but if so the pic is taken pretty late in the season after he joined the team (8/18). It looks like the number 4 as the first digit on the back of what appears to a black player, which could be Jim Ray Hart (although I remember him as not that tall with a somewhat rounder face).

There aren't too many options for this guy, so via the process of elimination it's possibly/probably(?) Otto Vélez, who debuted with 'The Bombers' on September 4, 1973. Don't have a clue how long he was actually with the team (and confined to the dugout) before that date.
