Anyone buying the Topps Now sets?

Topps is selling a bunch of team sets for the "Road to Opening Day". I just bought the Yankees auto team set. Hoping Gleyber makes it into it. Only a few players on the checklist are listed right now.

They did this last year and had most of the rookies that made the roster. I thought about taking a flyer on an Angels set but they are $399.00 vs the Yankees set $119.00 but the Yankee set has the Judge Auto as a short print. The Angels have Trout and Ohtani signing same number of Auto's as other players.
Last team set I bought was Astros postseason set it worked out but I would have much rather seen Yankees win that game 7..

I just can't imagine spending $399 on an Angels set and getting a Troy Scribner auto. I'd hate Topps forever.

On the other hand if you buy 6 sets for $2400 you are guaranteed all 6 autographs including trout and Ohtani.
The Astros postseason set was originally going to have 4 differant player autos but they sold so few (about 300) only Corea and Altuve signed cards. I got a Corea and bought an Altuve on ebay.
I go to a decent number of games and it is cool to have a card to go along with stub from games..

Holy moly. I picked up the ones I wanted on Bunt. Had no idea the physical versions were so expensive.

Last year Topps had the Orioles autograph set listed for $49. I bought one and got a Machado sig. Topps Now are nice cards and I like the concept but I have a hard time justifying the $10 cost for one card. I’ve gotten a couple cheaper on eBay from bulk buyers.

Is it a guarantee though? I think it would still be random selection.

I just verified on site if you buy 2 sets you are guaranteed either a Trout or Othani if you buy 4 you get all 4.

That's good at least. But for $800 you could just hold out and buy the Bowman when it comes out.

Not really On topic but I got this in mail today fro Topps Now. They have been asking new Hall of Famers to sign. This is far and away the nicest Thome Auto on a card I have ever seen.

Man, my Yankee "Road to Opening Day" set finally came today and I couldn't wait to see what autograph I got. Was it a Judge? The Andujar rookie? Didi? Not only was it not one of them, it wasn't anyone. There was a card inside that said my autograph card would be shipped separately. Cards are nice though.
