Hope everyone is healthy and doing well as we face today's challenges. I was just cleaning up my website CooperstownExpert.com. It's an endless process.

Every once in a while I revisit a page that makes me happy. Today Christy Mathewson's page make me smile. I'll post some of the images on the page here. Sorry they're uneven scan sizes.

Here's a description of each piece. At each player's name there's a link to their own specific page on the site. There's something for every baseball autograph collector there. Search for your favorite guys, enjoy, and feel free to tell me what you think of the site. As always, if you see an inaccuracy on the site, please let me know.

1. Book photo from Pitching in a Pinch autographed by Matty.

2. Letter from Matty's catcher Chief Myers. Vintage piece dated 5/14/1914, the day the Matty tied Tim Keefe for #4 on the All Time wins list.

3. Judge Landis signed letter from 4/18/1921 in which he praises Matty, Walter Johnson, and Mordecai Brown.

4. Matty was traded for Amos Rusie on 12/15/1900. This is Rusie's autograph. He's pretty tough to find.

5. Helping authenticate Rusie's autograph is the reverse of it. It's postmarked from Seattle Washington on 6/1/1940, about 18 months before Ruise died there.

6. Ford Frick signed letter dated 8/2/1939, two months after Hall's opening. He's responding to an autograph collector seeking Matty's autograph.

7. Horace Stoneham letter date 4/27/1962 written to same collector still seaking Matt's autograph 23 years later.

8. Matty set the record for consecutive innings without a walk. This is the lineup card that hung in the dugout during the game Greg Maddux broke the record 8

I admit I was skeptical with the Rusie when i first saw it years ago, especially since there is no address on back. However, the more I see it, the more I like it. The rest, of course, are wonderful.

Always have to be skeptical of any Rusie autograph. It helped that it was Doug Averitt who sold it to me. He's a guy I trust would never knowingly sell anything bad. Still, Rusie is so seldomly seen...

So excellent! Thanks for sharing. Just for kicks I thought I'd share this one that I just received this week. I'm sure Bob faced Matty many times:)
