Before the experts weigh in, I just want to say that with so many good Jeter forgeries out there, I would only want to purchase a Jeter that either comes from a major card company (insert cards) or one that has Steiner, MLB, or UDA certs/holograms behind it. Of course, most of those will come with a higher price tag, but I feel like the fake Jeters out there can be very hard to weed out. Or maybe I just need to study his signature more, but his autograph gives me a headache....kind of like Ichiro's.

Regrettably, Steiner isn't 100% safe anymore. There are growing reports of items that appear to be bad with Steiner holograms. I would not blindly buy a Jeter based on the Steiner hologram only on the secondary market.

I agree with buying a Jeter w/MLB Holo and Steiner, there are tons of fakes out there.

On to the ball you posted, it's consistent with Jeter in flow and pen pressure and has the right sloppy but consistent Jeter attributes. It is good.

Wow ....thanks for that. So, the replies on those discussions talk about how Steiner isn't really doing anything to combat this (or are they?)? You would think that cert card that is issued with the Steiner stuff would be difficult to reproduce...but either people are figuring out ways to make them or they are just using the real certs and holograms and using them on fake stuff. So, now I really can't rely on buying Steiner stuff either!
