T206....autographs...value?

Assuming the autograph is on the T206, legit, and a common player? $300? $500? <br /><br />Also, what would the value be if the autograph was of a player featured in T206, but the autograph was on an index card, napkin, or the likes?

Posted By: <b>Dan Bretta</b><p>You should ask this over on the card side as I note there are a few collectors like James Feagan who specifically collect autos on T206. I personally have no clue. I do know that Rube Marquard is probably the most common of all autographed T206's.

Posted By: <b>Jon Canfield</b><p>I think the range in somewhere between $400 and $600 for "commons" that lived longer lives or for Rube. Obviously if you have an authentic signed T-206 of a "common" who died in 1920, it will be worth considerably more. I just bought a group 4 for around $400 each (3 commons and Rube), but then had to pay $20 each for authentication. I know of a Doyle for sale for $550.<br /><br />Also just got this one recently although didn't knnow it was authentic at the time of purchase...<br /><br /><img src="http://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1183691333.JPG">

Posted By: <b>DJ</b><p>As far as index cards go on players who appeared on T206 cards, it basically depends on when they passed away. <br /><br />If they passed away in the late 1960's to say early 1980's, you can usually pick one up for $15-20. <br /><br />Players like Parent, Snodgrass, Doyle and such can often be found in authentic form on eBay for around that price range and aren't a challenge to find. <br /><br />DJ
