Screens are cheap and easy to change out yourself. I changed one out for a friend for $35-40 about a year ago.

Even if you have no experience working on them you can watch a youtube video that will show you how easy it is.

Watching a video on how to replace the screen you are replacing on the screen you are replacing could present a problem.

So you would take your laptop to the library to replace the screen? A novel approach, granted they certainly have a section for novels. ;)

I guess if my laptop was broken and I needed to change the brakes on the my car, I could go to the library and use their "break" room.;)

Interesting that you would refer to Butterfingers while dropping a laptop:D
