I have a stupid question. Why do they end BEFORE the National ? I would think these auction houses (and any other catalog auctions that end before Wed) could get additional interest/bids (signing new collectors up) at their National booths ?

Don't remember if it were these auction houses, but I thought I saw somewhere that some of them said that you could pick up your winnings at National if you were going, and therefore avoid shipping fees.

Goodwin

I was stunned when I saw the ending price for the T204 Tinker SGC 84 - $8,200!!!

Maybe just 2 bidders battling it out, or is that a tough card in the set in high grade? I also thought the Mordecai Ramly went a little low, based on prior prices.

Any thoughts?

Tony

Maybe auction overload?? There seems to be ALOT of auctions ending lately. Just the last two weeks you've had Greg Bussineau, Sterling, Goodwin, Clean Sweeps, and Huggins & Scott. And don't forget with Ebay constantly in the mix, that is ALOT OF CARDBOARD!!!!! Maybe there are TOO MANY auctions going on now? Something is BOUND to get overlooked here or there.......

strong prices on some

There were strong prices on some cards, that's for sure. I thought the $1250 on the T213-1 Huggins was pretty strong. But then too, Coupon Type 1's are hot, hot, hot.....
(shameless plug as I will have a bevy of them at the National)

Leon that was the first thing I noticed too. Nice card but that was really strong...

The e104 plank went pretty low too, imo. It's the second nicest one in existence.. Too bad I didn't have the guts to bid it up anymore.

The t206 uzit Jennings went high too, it was the same one sold in REA a few months ago!
