Runs

1 Attachment(s)
I was hoping to reprise the older "runs" thread...but the search function failed me...so here is my updated Dots "big glove" Miller run.

Again...thanks Chris for the compilation!

BeanTown 05-05-2016 07:09 AM

Truly amazing grouping! Wow

Rookiemonster 05-05-2016 07:30 AM

Awesome ! Why is the sky so different in these cards? That's my favorite part.

frankbmd 05-05-2016 07:38 AM

That looks like my panorex, Pete.:D

Uniform yellowing and off-centered uppers with a variety of root canals, fillings and crowns below with two extractions thrown out.

vintagetoppsguy 05-05-2016 08:03 AM

I read the title of this thread and was going to suggest Kaopectate or Pepto-Bismol, but I see it's a different kind of runs.

Nice run :D

Had the same thought. Hilarious
But seriously, Pete, that is IMPRESSIVE

Sean 05-05-2016 08:29 AM

Excellent Pete. This is my favorite way of collecting pre-war cards. :)

1880nonsports 05-05-2016 12:54 PM

quite impressive

!

Hot Springs Bathers 05-05-2016 01:05 PM

Wow Pete "Dots" very impressive!

tonyo 05-05-2016 01:21 PM

Those look great Pete!

No back runs of my own to report.

What is the difference in the two blank backs?

One of them was hand-cut, the other was gnawed by a dog. :D

That is a great looking run, Pete. Congrats again.

ullmandds 05-05-2016 04:19 PM

I have grown to love collecting runs too...as it's kind of a combination of type collecting and just collecting!

The really rough handcut on the right is a t216(yes Leon...it is)...and the other is an e92.

JustinD 05-05-2016 04:28 PM

The handcut t216 is totally my favorite.

Nice work and solid patience!

ValKehl 05-05-2016 08:44 PM

Well done, Pete. Hope you are eventually obtain the few you are missing.

I had several of the hand cut T216s and yes, I believe they are T216s and not another series...

here are the only 2 known examples of t216 blank back kotton millers. most others found were 1 of a kinds...which I believe may have been in an album/scrapbook.

bn2cardz 05-06-2016 11:40 AM

I don't know if you were looking for other's to show their "runs" also, so pardon me if this is out of place. I had the idea of doing this back run prior to seeing your collection, but you showed yours soon after and it motivated me even more. Who knows, maybe you are even the reason our fourth child got named Peter :D

My grouping shows my duplicates. I only have 12 different backs.

Yeah, maybe you can show us your Chase run. If not now, maybe in a few weeks.

ullmandds 05-06-2016 02:13 PM

Andy...I've always liked your run...love the menagerie back e92 I wish miller had a dockman/menagerie card to find!

But showing doubles to make your run appear longer is cheating!!!!!!

Frank...I knew you had it in you! Although I'd expect a man of your "experience" to have more of the runs!!!!

As I've commented before, putting all the tops above all the bottoms like that is really striking. Love the way that image is put together like a horizon!

tedzan 05-06-2016 06:08 PM

Continuing the blue Chase run......

Well then I am the most honest cheater there is, since I specifically stated that there were doubles included. haha.

I bought doubles thinking that they may be better, in the end each one just had different flaws and I couldn't decide which to keep. Since I own them I just scan them all together for my own reminder.

bn2cardz 05-06-2016 08:15 PM

Here is my newest run that I have holding me over since I have hit a wall with my t205 AB subset and my Lobert run:

Wow chris! Love the complete coupon run.

With a lifetime BA = .333, Mike Donlin would be in the HOF.....if had he taken his BB career more seriously.....instead of acting in vaudeville and the movies.

I have 6 more different T206 Donlin backs (but cannot find the scans). Anyhow, this Donlin is still a work in progress.

Hey Sean

Chris is a very persuasive dude....he always gets the best of me on our trades. He has my original CYCLE 350 and LENOX Chase's.

I replaced the CYCLE 350 card with this one. However, it will be a very long time before I get another LENOX Chase.

Hey good buddy,

WOW !

Is this "clairvoyant"....or what ?

We were both thinking and typing the same thing at exactly the same time.

My Red Cobb Run... 28 different backs....
A couple 1 of 1s in here.... including my newest addition... the Type 3 Coupon Overprint..
:)

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...ps9ek6isl2.jpg

Sean 05-08-2016 01:53 PM

Wow, you got the overprint! Now all that's left is the Victory and Cobb back.

You and Chris both need a Victory to complete your runs. Every time I see your runs I'm reminded how lucky I am that there is no T214 Merkle. :)

atx840 05-08-2016 02:43 PM

Beauties Jamie. Congrats on the OP Type-3.
