When should Vintage "World War II & Earlier" change?

I was curious as to the thoughts on when/if the Vintage Section of this forum will ever slide the scale up on what is considered "Vintage". Currently it is pre-WWII but as we continue to move further and further from that time period will, or should, that scale move ahead to, let's say, "pre-Vietnam" (1960ish)? That would of course start bringing in the Topps era along with the explosion in popularity of the '52 Mantle. Thoughts?

It's segmented because those eras are specialties for collectors and their niches. I don't see why that would change. Some people would prefer to see the "vintage" mark moved from 1980 to 1988 or so, preferring to mark Modern sets with 1989 Upper Deck. But that hasn't gained much traction, either.

There are so many reasons that WWII is a huge divide for almost any collectible, that I just don't see it changing.

I think of vintage as up to the end of WWI. I guess I need to update. 🤔

I am certainly one of those people. The pre-UD era is of no comparison to post at all.

We should have a section called "Post Second Anglo-Maratha War," and then every single thing on the site will fit neatly into one folder.
