NEEDED: An early photo of Billy Martin

I have exhausted my resources for a Yankee photo between 1951-1953 of Billy Martin. A portrait would be best. I'm not sure if any exist, but any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!

I Doubt

..I doubt if this is of any help but there are Yankee collectors on here who are sitting on a pile of early fifties photos -- you won't be waiting long...good hunting ..

Phil, I Googled Billy Martin portraits and several came up that appear promising. I've always liked the early 50s portrait done by Bob Olen, the official Yankees team photographer, which appeared in my Google search. Billy's big smile hides the ferocious lion always ready to leap at World Series time! I'm rather certain this portrait was used in the Yankee sketchbooks, and would need to be colorized, but with your increasing skill, you'll do Billy proud. However, you must strive to find the entire portrait of Billy, which would have been from just above the waist. That Olen portrait would have been terrific on a 1953 or 1954 Stahl-Meyer Franks card! Oh well.

The 1956 Sports Illustrated cover is excellent for a more serious, intense portrait. However, the year is a few years late for what you are striving for.

Wishing you the best. --- Brian Powell

Phil, I've attached a photo of his picture in the 1952 Yankees Sketch Book (the yearbook of the day). Hope this helps.

AustinMike, THAT is the portrait I was referencing. I'm sure the actual portrait would have included much more of Billy, though of course I may be wrong. ---Brian Powell

That image would be great! Unfortunately, it is already half-toned in monochrome and would end up looking rough. I can take a stab at actually drawing it--sometimes I get lucky.
I'm looking for a wire photo or second generation image or...anything really that is on photo stock.
Thank you, guys! I really appreciate your help! I love the shot of Billy & Casey!
I did this one a couple of years ago. It's my favorite Martin image, but there's some other knucklehead in it that ruins it...

I did. Thank you! That's a mid 50's. It's going to be used on a '52 that would have been issued in early September of '52..I know, it's a tough one...
