Need help dating early bat
Posted By: John Harrell
Based on the unusual shape of the knob and the taper of the bat plus the presence of the rings, I'd date this bat as likely from the early to mid 1880's, although it might be a bit later in the 1880's. It's a nice example of a home made bat, possibly made by some woodworking company but unmarked (common in those days). Ya got a beaut!!

John
