Maybe that's why they call him "Sweet Lou"

Leon 11-20-2017 09:28 AM

He looks more like Ty Cobb to me anyway :).

Look at those chicken legs. Gehrig was 6 feet tall, but this person looks a bit taller. Photo of Gehrig as Tarzan in 1936 added for comparison.

That must've the year that Lou lost weight, grew in height and started
batting right handed.

sporteq 11-20-2017 01:33 PM

saw that to... hilarious!

But they have such a venerable name, Treasured Antiquities, so clearly they are telling the truth. That must be Lou.

That is Louis Gehrig , an electrician from Peoria. IL.

Snapolit1 11-21-2017 07:21 PM

Jokes aside, Gehrig seems to be an extraordinarily rare name. Has anyone ever met a Gehrig? Or even heard of one (alive)?

btcarfagno 11-21-2017 07:52 PM

Here's one of Lou as he is rarely seen!! Had to buy this one just for the unusual nature of it.

What the heck?!?!

The seller must mean "Lew Gehrig", the "Tin Horse". First baseman for the Long Island Tennis and Croquet Club Softball Team.
