1954 Red Heart Labels

I stumbled upon these labels while aimlessly wandering the ebay alleys. I had not seen any before and immediately wondered how many of 33 players in the set could be found spotlighted on the dog food cans? My searching only turned up the following three, Musial, Sauer, and Mantle. Can anyone confirm any others? I would particularly be interested in knowing if any of the four Dodgers appear on a label (Erskine, Cox, Gilliam, and Snider).

Great stuff Joe. I always wanted one to add to a wrapper collection.

I note that the three players represent each of the three color backgrounds and are at the top of the list for their respective sets on the label. I would say those three are it then.

This is true. When building my set I did a lot of research and found this to be true. I contemplated getting the three wrappers but ultimately decided not to because of cost and disply purposes. Besides they are still just labels from dog food.

http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...0e9bbb89ae.jpg I found this ad which also shows the three different players on the can labels. This seems to further indicate what you guys are suggesting is accurate. There appeared to be three different flavors of dog food and three different sets. I wonder if the different colored background sets were only issued with that particular flavor of dog food? I wonder if Hank Sauer knew he was going to be chopped liver, lol?

I have to say I love all the little details about regional sets just as these but (and I've brought this up before) does anyone else think it's a little gross this has an ACC# indicating a food issue?

As opposed to pieces of cardboard with men's pictures on them??? :)

I do like this set and just finished it last year.
