Need Help Finding Boxing Book - Black Prince Peter

I'm hoping that someone on the board can help me. I'm looking for someone who owns a copy of "Black Prince Peter" by A.G. Hales that would be willing to loan it to me. I don't collect books, and this one is out of print, so it is pretty pricey. I just want the opportunity to read the book, then return it to it's owner. I'm more than willing to pay shipping and insurance both ways. Please let me know if you can help me out. Thanks.

Hi Andy. I sold my copy earlier this year to Clay Moyle. I know he has a couple copies of it. You should email him and ask I wouldn't be surprised if he let you borrow it.

E-mail?

Thanks Aaron! I don't know Clay. Would you happen to have his e-mail address?

By the way, did you enjoy the Hales book? Do you know of any other Boxing Historical Fiction books? I've read "The Killings of Stanley Ketchel" by Blake and "The Real McCoy" by Strauss, and enjoyed them both. I'm looking for other books in this genre, and the "Black Prince Peter" is the only other one that I am aware of.

Andy I have quite a few books. I collected them for awhile. But sold most and kept a few to read. I got more enjoyment out of reading them I think. But any questions regarding boxing books I refer to Clay. He will be able to help you with any questions you have.

Here is his email address: cmoyle@aol.com

He has a website as well. http://www.prizefightingbooks.com/

I thought "Black Ajax" by George McDonald Fraser was an excellent read.

It's a combination Fictional with contemporary fight reports of the Tom Cribb / Thomas Molineaux rivalry

Black Ajax

I have heard the Black Ajax is a difficult read due to the period language that was used.

Maybe the newspaper accounts of the round by round fights that are interspersed throughout............but not the bulk of the writing by the author.
